Christmas at Voorlinden

Discover the magic of Museum Voorlinden during the Christmas holidays! Visiting the museum, restaurant and estate of Voorlinden with friends and family is truly an unforgettable experience. Together, you will enjoy art, nature and architecture in Wassenaar. The museum is open every day of the year between 11am and 5pm.

Surprising art

Looking for an outing during the Christmas holidays? At Voorlinden, you can always enjoy two exhibitions. At the museum, you will always discover a solo exhibition around the work of one artist. This can be a young talent, but also an internationally very renowned name like Anselm Kiefer. Voorlinden’s collection is full of modern and contemporary artworks that stimulate your imagination. You can discover this rich art collection in the changing collection exhibition. Let yourself be surprised, for instance, by tantalising paintings, insane sculptures and intriguing installations by contemporary artists.

Enchanting hikes

Going for a nice walk is an ideal outing during the Christmas holidays. The Voorlinden estate is located against the edge of the Wassenaar dunes and is freely accessible. You can walk around the museum and enjoy Piet Oudolf’s garden. The internationally renowned Dutch garden architect has created a garden here with some 50 species of perennials and ornamental grasses that remains worthwhile all year round.

From the museum, you can take a walk of about 45 minutes through the woods, meadow and dune area of Voorlinden. Eventually, the unpaved path returns to the museum. From the highest dune, you can see the North Sea on a clear day.

Dogs are of course welcome on the estate. Keep them on a leash because of the wildlife and birds.
