Enchanting hikes
Going for a nice walk is an ideal outing during the Christmas holidays. The Voorlinden estate is located against the edge of the Wassenaar dunes and is freely accessible. You can walk around the museum and enjoy Piet Oudolf’s garden. The internationally renowned Dutch garden architect has created a garden here with some 50 species of perennials and ornamental grasses that remains worthwhile all year round.
From the museum, you can take a walk of about 45 minutes through the woods, meadow and dune area of Voorlinden. Eventually, the unpaved path returns to the museum. From the highest dune, you can see the North Sea on a clear day.
Dogs are of course welcome on the estate. Keep them on a leash because of the wildlife and birds.
