With incredible speed, he manages to flawlessly reproduce a wide range of universal emotions. His solo exhibition at Voorlinden shows the abundance, the raw, the boundless and the unfiltered of the artist’s work.

Maarten Baas – It’s about time

From June 10 you can see the wonderful works of Maarten Baas at Voorlinden. In his solo exhibition ‘It’s about time’ he shows the most recent clocks from his ‘Real Time’ series, the fascinating visual installation ‘I think, therefore I was’, the digital waterfall ‘Second Nature’ and a brand new ‘Clay’-work that reaches up to the sky.

Anselm Kiefer – Bilderstreit

Thanks to his idiosyncratic visual language, full of references to history, mythology and literature, Anselm Kiefer (1945) became one of the greatest artists of our time. In the museum and on the Voorlinden estate, you will see his vast oeuvre, consisting of paintings, vitrines, installations, artists’ books and works on paper, such as collages and edited photographs.

Museum Voorlinden is proud to present a new solo exhibition of the legendary American painter Alex Katz. From 10 June to 1 October, you can see a special selection from the rich oeuvre of the 95-year-old artist, including iconic portraits, flat sculptures (cut-outs) and monumental landscapes.

Philip Vermeulen – Boem BOem

By popping tennis balls at about 150 to 160 km per hour, at a distance of 14 metres, against two sound boxes, Philip Vermeulen creates the funkiest rhythms and thumping beats. With his impressive installation and composition Physical Rhythm Machine / Boem BOem, the young artist received acclaim at several festivals, such as Halle Am Berghain in Berlin and Mapping Festival in Geneva.
